Scholarship Awards Announced

We have now concluded this year’s FLBA Scholarship process and are delighted to have awarded two scholarships: to Barbra Tayengwa and Djulia Ciochina. Congratulations Barbra and Djulia!

Both were fantastic candidates and thoroughly deserving recipients. It was a very competitive process this year, with a strong field both on paper and at interview, and we feel privileged to be able to support them.

Along with the core Scholarship subcommittee, a number of FLBA members volunteered their time either to mark applications, help us with admin, or convene the interviews. Their involvement made it possible for us to run what was a substantial process carefully and fairly, and we are very grateful to everyone who assisted.

All of the candidates shortlisted for interview have also been offered the opportunity to marshal in the High Court.

Our thanks go in particular to Joy Brereton KC, Srishti Suresh, and the Scholarship Working Group, and to all the other FLBA members who have given their time to make this scholarship happen. Through this scheme the FLBA continues to make a meaningful difference for aspiring family barristers.
