Information for Members

If you are having technical trouble with the FLBA website please read carefully through the Troubleshooting Guide below.

The FLBA is a small organization with limited administrative backup, and whilst we are always happy to hear from members we would be grateful if you could help us avoid unnecessary extra work by checking some basics before contacting us about tech issues. Most of the technical queries we have had concerning this website have been easily resolved by working through the things contained within it. Occasionally you may come across a problem that isn’t explained or fixed by working through this guide – if that happens please feel free to drop us an email and we will try and help.

Troubleshooting Guide

The guide covers:

Why do I need to log in?

How do I log in?

What are my log in details?

I need help with the videos!

Why do I need to log in?

If you are not logged in you will not be able to see all the members only sections of the site.

When members log in to the site the members only sections of the site will become available:

  • Lectures will become visible in main navigation and can be purchased easily for viewing. You can come back to these time and again if you have to do something more pressing.
  • The Noticeboard will become visible under the Resources header. On the Noticeboard you will be able to find FLBMails, Family Affairs, members notices and committee documents.

How do I log in?

The log in panel at the top of the page is available on all pages please enter your details. Your username will usually be your first name in full followed by your last name in full (with a space in between) i.e. John Smith. If you don’t know your password you can retrieve it by following the instructions (see below).

If you are having trouble logging in when prompted because you are trying to access members only content please go back to the HOME PAGE and try from there.

What are my login details?

Don’t forget – you do need to be a current member to be able to access the website.

If you don’t receive FLBmail or if you only get it when someone else forwards it to you this is probably because the FLBA doesn’t hold a current or valid email address for you. It also means that we will probably not have given you a username for the website.

Please contact admin@flba.co.uk to let our administrator know what email address you would like to use and she will set you up as a user.

Some of your website accounts are associated with old email addresses. If you find that your lost password emails are not arriving in your inbox it might be because it is not going to your chambers email address but some old email address. Please check all your email accounts and junk / spam folders before contacting us.

If this doesn’t work send us an email telling us what the problem is and we will try to assist.

I need help with the videos!

In order to see and access the video area of the website you will need to be logged in using your members login details. Once you are logged in the main navigation bar across the top of the website  “lectures” will be active. Click on the current year to display a list of all lectures currently available.
